A New Louis Vuitton Artycapucines Collection Is Here, And It's Worth Snagging

Year on year, we eagerly await the moment Louis Vuitton announces a new chapter of Artycapucines—an artistic reimagining of one of the brand’s most recognisable handbags—and it’s finally here. After last year’s collaboration with Takashi Murakami for Art Basel 2025, which transformed the bags into surreal works of art, Louis Vuitton has joined hands with Keith Haring for its latest Artycapucines chapter.

The collection features 13 extraordinary interpretations of Haring’s work, translating his joyful figures, radiant symbols and unmistakable lines into playful works of wearable art. The limited-edition bags will be available at Louis Vuitton stores worldwide from January 1, 2027.

Since Artycapucines debuted in 2019, the collection has invited contemporary artists to reimagine the Capucines—an iconic Louis Vuitton bag named after Rue Neuve-des-Capucines in Paris, where the Maison opened its first store in 1854. Over the years, more than 35 artists have contributed to the project, with the Artycapucines Collection now comprising more than 50 distinctive designs by celebrated artists from around the world.

Haring’s designs are anything but simple. His unmistakable figures and rhythmic linework emerged from New York City’s downtown art scene of the 1980s, giving rise to a visual language that is immediate, vibrant and universally recognisable. Now, those same dancing figures, animals, radiant symbols and exuberant compositions have been translated onto handbags.

The collection continues a creative dialogue that began with Nicolas Ghesquière’s Cruise 2027 womenswear collection, presented in May at New York’s Frick Collection. There, Haring’s signature works and characters appeared across selected garments and bags, bringing together the energy of downtown New York with the refinement of its uptown cultural world.

Minaudière Capucines Nano Running Heart

Keith Haring’s iconic 1984 Running Heart gets a dazzling makeover. Crafted in lustrous silver-tone metal and with more than 12,000 hand-set strass, the design brings the motif to life in vivid red and black across both sides. Inside, there is a striking contrast. Opening the bag reveals black calfskin leather, an exclusive collection patch, and a numbered enamelled tag engraved with Haring's Dancing Figures, created exclusively for this collection. A removable strap lets it work as both a shoulder bag and evening clutch.

Noodle Box New York City

Inspired by Keith Haring’s Statue of Liberty (1986) and Untitled (New York Apple) (1984–1986), this precious minaudière transforms the city’s familiar take-out box into a sparkling tribute to the place that shaped the artist’s career.

Making it an exceptional collector’s piece, the Statue of Liberty motif adorns its front and the Big Apple with Dancing Figures on the reverse, while shades of red, green, and silver capture the bold colors and graphic style of the original works. A black leather-trimmed handle, miniature S-lock and black leather-lined interior complete this playful piece.

Minaudière Capucines Pets

Inspired by Keith Haring’s Coloring Book (1985–1986), this playful hard-sided minaudière brings his joyful dogs to life, complete with the number 17, a subtle reference to its original page within

the Coloring Book.

Its pristine white resin shell serves as a gallery wall for Haring’s signature black linework, recreated through delicate enamel techniques. The artist's bold black outline extends beyond the main composition, continuing through the metal ring fixings and along the arc of the rigid handle, making Haring's unmistakable linework an integral part of the bag's architecture.

Capucines East-West Mini Maze

Keith Haring’s Untitled (Painting for Francesca Alinovi) (1984) takes on a new dimension with the Capucines East-West Mini Maze. Its hypnotic all-over composition is brought to life through intricate embroidery, combining thousands of individually applied beads with traditional needlework technique, creating a subtle three-dimensional effect.

Capucines Mini Figures

Interlocking figures, tiny hearts and Haring’s signature radiant lines come together on the Capucines Mini Figures. It is characteristic of the bold 'radiant lines' outlining technique that came to define Keith Haring's visual language during New York's street art movement of the 1980s. The white calfskin body is transformed through hours of embroidery, with handcrafted beads and threads worked using needlework and crochet techniques. Soft padding gives the composition sculptural depth, while black calfskin frames the silhouette and continues inside, alongside a zipped compartment and an exclusive collection patch.

Capucines BB Holiday

The Capucines BB Holiday brings a Keith Haring drawing from his 1983 Napoli series to life, featuring interconnecting dolphins and humans in a playful scene of freedom, nature and travel. Louis Vuitton’s leather marquetry brings the composition together through meticulously hand-cut and layered leather panels, with smooth calfskin paired with ostrich and karung leather for added depth and texture.

Capucines Mini Dancers

Haring’s ballet-inspired figures take centre stage on the Capucines Mini Dancers. Sweeping across both sides of the bag, their elongated forms and ribbon-like arms replicate the rhythm of dance as a language of joy, freedom and celebration. Smooth natural white calfskin gives the figures a sculptural quality through an innovative high-frequency embossing technique. Precisely positioned beneath the leather, each form subtly rises from the surface, creating a delicate play of light, shadow and relief.

Capucines MM Soft Figures

Haring’s Untitled (1989) comes alive through mirrored figures, serpentine forms and signature “motion lines” across the bag. While the artwork is embroidered onto a soft ivory cotton canvas, with vibrant yellow figures framed by Haring’s bold orange outlines, the orange calfskin on the handle and throughout the interior picks up the artwork’s energy. In translating paint into thread, the Capucines MM Soft Figures celebrates the artisanal qualities of embroidery to capture both the visual richness and emotional vitality of Keith Haring's artistic vision.

Capucines MM Genesis / Valisette Genesis

Inspired by the extraordinary Louis Vuitton suitcase hand-customised by Keith Haring in 1984, the Capucines MM Genesis and Valisette Genesis showcase artistic creativity and cultural history. Reimagined in two complementary forms, the Capucines MM Genesis reinterprets the historic suitcase through the House’s signature Capucines silhouette, while the Valisette Genesis recalls the porte-habit through its structured hard-sided construction.

Vuitton recreates the suitcase’s beautifully aged cognac patina on natural calfskin using an all-over digital printing technique, capturing its variations in tone, wear and texture. A vintage-style stitched label on the reverse references the original New York East Village art gallery label, while rich burgundy leather lines the interior. This reinvention has turned a century-spanning suitcase story into something decidedly new.

Capucines BB Figures

Bringing together the signature elegance of the Capucines and Keith Haring’s graphic language, the Capucines BB Figures is crafted in natural white Taurillon leather. The colourful characters become jewellery-like charms, whereas their rainbow palette recalls the colours of the Pride flag. Their exuberance reflects the energy of the New York club culture and nightlife that shaped Haring’s world. The artist's signature black outline frames the entire silhouette as an integral part of the bag's architecture.

Capucines Mini Symbols

The Capucines Mini Symbols jewellery-inspired decorative chain translates Haring's most iconic characters into colourful three-dimensional charms. It pairs full-grain black Taurillon leather with a delicate gold-toned S-chain, from which miniature enamelled versions of the Running Heart, Dancing Figure, Skateboarder and Mr. Boombox sway like charms. Interspersed with Louis Vuitton Monogram Flowers, the colourful motifs bring Haring’s signature energy to the silhouette, with the skateboarder and boombox recalling the East Village street culture and emerging hip-hop scene of his world. The gold-toned coiled handle adds another sculptural flourish, wrapped by two yellow enamelled Dancing Figures.
