It's Friday -- and World Cocktail Day! It really can't get any better, this only means one thing, it's time to get behind the bar and whip up some delicious cocktails.


As the world moves towards a culture that champions cocktail bars, India too has jumped on the bandwagon. With a surge of a cocktail bars in the national capital, every tipple is not only a delight to the palate but also a visual and sensorial delight. From theatrical presentations to unconventional flavour pairings, Delhi's nightlife is pumping with new tipples that are worth trying.


While gin has emerged as a popular choice for many tipples, that doesn't mean you can't stick to traditional Vodka and Whisky concoctions! On World Cocktail Day 2022, The Style List takes you through some lip-smacking recipes to try - that not only look good but taste even better!

Let's admit it somethings drinks are classics, and while this may not be considered a traditional cocktail, why not add a dash of mulled berries and mixers to give it a refreshing spin?



Whisky Based Cocktails

A visual delight, if you like a fruity cocktail this one with a dash of pink grapefruit juice, sugar syrup and sea salt will leave you wanting more.

Ingredients

40ml The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old

30ml Pink Grapefruit juice

10ml Sugar syrup

Pinch of sea salt

Top up with soda or tonic and garnish with a pink grapefruit wedge

If you prefer to mix your whisky with ginger ale try your hand at the Macallan One Hundred and Seven features ages whisky Oloroso sherry and a dash of ginger ale.

Ingredients
20 ml Oloroso sherry
Ginger ale
Garnish with a lemon twist

Bubbly is never a bad idea and that's a fact! This World Cocktail Day pamper your taste buds with exquisite flavours as you whip up a delicious champagne based cocktail. How about a Bellini? Because peach and prosecco are always a delight!

Ingredients:

2 parts Prosecco

1 part fresh white peach purée


Pour Prosecco into a champagne glass. Top with peach purée.

BELVEDERE SUN & EARTH

With citrus, earthy flavours and underlying hints of aromatic sweetness, this is the perfect thirst-quenching for the summer months.


Ingredients
45 ml Belvedere Smogory Forest
15 ml Grapefruit Juice
15 ml Honey Water (1:1)
7.5 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
Garnish – Lavender Spring
Add all ingredients to shaker over cubed ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a highball over cubed ice. Garnish.

SMOKE LAB PERFECT COSMOPOLITAN

And just like that, get transported right back to Sex and the City. The perfect summer drink, with a strong hit of Vodka this is citrusy with a real punch.


Ingredients 45 ml Smoke Lab vodka

15 ml Cranberry Juice

5 ml Orange Juice

7.5 ml Lime Juice Ice Lime wedge, for garnish Cranberries, for garnish


Add all ingredients to shaker over cubed ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a highball over cubed ice. Garnish.


BELVEDERE EVERGREEN ROYAL

A new take on the old fashioned, celebrating deep and herbal notes of the Smogory Forest region.


Ingredients:
60 ml Belvedere Smogory Forest
7.5 ml Camomile Tea
15 ml Honey
2 dashes Angosutra Bitters
Garnish – Grapefruit peel
Add all ingredients to mixing glass over cubed ice and stir. Fine strain into a rocks glass over block ice. Garnish.
