Where To Eat The Best Sourdough Pizza In Delhi Right Now

Si Nonna’s new outlet in Connaught Place Delhi with Italian-inspired interiors

A special mango and matcha beverage menu, a live open kitchen with a woodfire oven, and interiors wrapped in warm tones of brown, yellow, and beige. Si Nonna’s latest outlet in Delhi’s iconic Connaught Place is easily one of our favourite new openings and has the best pizza in Delhi. While the brand already has outlets across Delhi, including DLF Commons, GK 2, Ambience Mall, and Dwarka, this marks its sixth store and perhaps its most thoughtfully designed one yet. Breezy, warm, and full of character, the space instantly draws you in.

Large wooden double doors, curved arches, and a striking coffee station immediately set the tone as you walk in. Paintings inspired by Italian streetscapes add colour to the walls, while little details across the restaurant make the space feel playful without trying too hard. One design element we particularly loved was the display of kombuchas and sourdough breads placed inside glass cabinets, almost like a neighbourhood bakery in Naples. Their iconic orange pizza boxes line the balcony facades with handwritten notes, doubling up as quirky wall décor.

Much like the streets of Naples, the menu brings the idea of an Italian table to life with artisanal pizzas, freshly baked Panuozzo sandwiches, handmade focaccia, kombuchas, refreshing coolers, fresh gelatos, and Nonna’s iconic tiramisu layered with mascarpone cream and espresso-soaked savoiardi. For summer, the beverage menu introduces mango-based drinks and a wide variety of matcha options that feel fresh and easy for Delhi’s heat.

Si Nonna’s has always been known as a quick stop for good sourdough pizzas, but what stands out is how the food never feels overly indulgent. The pizzas are not greasy, overloaded with cheese, or too heavy. Instead, the crust is thin and airy, the sourdough base has the right bite, and the marinara sauce carries most of the flavour. And the secret lies in the 24-hour-fermented dough and hand-stretched Neapolitan-style pies. The toppings are relatively minimal, but every ingredient feels intentional, especially when paired with their signature sauces, such as basil pesto.

What truly stayed with us, however, was the flexibility of the experience. Don’t want blue cheese on your pepperoni pizza? Swap it for buffalo mozzarella or parmesan. Guests can customise pizzas to their liking, speak directly to the chef, step behind the counter, choose toppings, knead the dough, and watch their pizzas go straight into the woodfire oven. Their real hero ingredient, though, is EVOO — extra virgin olive oil — used generously across dishes and tying the flavours together beautifully.

For non-vegetarian options, the pizza topped with tomato sauce, Fior Di Latte mozzarella, slow-cooked spiced chicken with herbs and garlic, Mt. Vesuvius sun-dried tomatoes, homemade spicy chilli oil, basil pesto, and EVOO is worth ordering. Truffle lovers, meanwhile, should go for the vegetarian pizza layered with Nonna’s homemade mushroom cream, buffalo mozzarella, sliced button mushrooms, cherry tomato confit, aged parmesan, parsley, fresh basil, white truffle oil, and EVOO.

Beyond the pizzas, the small plates are perfectly sized for sharing without feeling excessive. The Eggplant Parmigiana with lightly seasoned eggplant, Fior Di Latte mozzarella, and spicy tomato sauce was comforting without being too rich, while the mac and cheese was simple, creamy, and satisfying. What we appreciated most was how the food stayed light and balanced despite being comfort food. The sourdough base across dishes makes a noticeable difference. In fact, the dough itself became one of our favourite parts of the meal, especially when paired with the Basil Pesto Dip and the surprisingly addictive Sumac Garlic Yogurt Dip. The Panuozzo with roasted chicken, sautéed mushrooms, homemade cherry tomato confit, basil pesto sauce, and fresh basil is another standout we would happily go back for.

The service remains quick and friendly, making the space ideal for both quick lunches and relaxed catch-ups. Menus are printed on paper and placed as table mats, adding to the casual, easy-going format of the restaurant. While Si Nonna’s does not serve alcohol, the Affogato with its strong espresso hit and the pistachio gelato with its subtle, nutty flavour are both worth ending your meal with.
