Created in collaboration with Backwaters Chechie, led by Shobha Pillai Cutinho, The Merchants at Fairmont Mumbai is organising Onam Aaghosham. Think Kaya Upperi, Sharkara Varatti, Parippu Vada, Manga Achar and Inji Puli, followed by Pineapple and Beetroot Pachadi, Avial, Olan, Kaalan, Erissery and a medley of Thorans. Kerala Matta Rice arrives with Parippu, Nei, Sambar and Rasam, alongside Appam with Vegetable Stew, Kappa Vevichadhu and Manga Kanthari Mulagu Chammandi. Since 2024, OMO Gurgaon has marked the tradition of hosting the annual Onam Sadya. The structure, sequence and classic Kerala dishes remain firmly intact, while a few thoughtful ingredients bring OMO’s ingredient-led philosophy to the banana leaf. Think monsoon-foraged fiddlehead fern, queen pineapple from Manipur and Kashmiri plum finding their way into familiar preparations. Celebrating Onam the traditional way, Tanjore Tiffin Room has designed an authentic 30-dish menu for this year’s Onam Sadya. The feast brings together Sambar, Rasam, Avial, Olan and Kaalan, alongside Beetroot Thayir Pachadi, Beans Thoran and other colourful thorans and pachadis. The smaller details do plenty of work too, from Sharkara Upperi and Pazhampori to Puli Inji, raw mango pickle, papadam and curd, bringing crunch, tang and balance to every bite. And then comes the sweet finish: milky Pal Payasam and jaggery-rich Sharkara Adapradhaman. The Sadhya will also be served at the brand’s Nesco, Bandra and Versova outlets in Mumbai, with the celebration extending to Goa.

This Onam, Chatti by Regi Mathew brings Kerala’s beloved Onasadhya to New York with a 27-dish vegetarian feast made for sharing. From August 24–27, the Muttch Lounge hosts a sit-down lunch featuring traditional favourites served across courses, celebrating the flavours, harvest and heritage of Kerala. Expect an abundant spread that turns a meal into a full-blown festive ritual—because Onam is, after all, as much about gathering as it is about eating. The Onasadhya is available for lunch at $120 for adults and $90 for children, with advance reservations recommended.
