Luxury never stands still, and this week proves exactly that. Here is a quick look at the biggest luxury news headlines making waves this week.

The Amber Terrace and The Peacock Lounge open at The Leela Palace Jaipur

As you drive into The Leela Palace Jaipur, you are instantly engulfed by a royal spell. The building and façade of the property resemble regal Mughal architecture, adorned with intricate Persian-inspired art. A soft blue and white pastel colour palette, sparkling white marble floors, and a dedicated chaperone carrying a bright red umbrella with traditional Rajasthani work add a vibrant pop of colour.

Stepping into the property, guests are welcomed with the customary Indian tikka and aarti ceremony, followed by a gentle shower of rose petals that sets the tone for a warm and gracious arrival. The lobby immediately engages the senses with the signature Tishya fragrance, a distinctive scent that has become synonymous with The Leela’s hospitality. On this visit, however, the journey led to the newly opened Peacock Lounge, an exclusive space designed especially for villa guests. Inspired by the elegance of the peacock, the lounge brings Mediterranean flavours to the forefront, while the cocktail menu draws inspiration from celebrated Mediterranean cities. Among the dishes, the succulent Chicken Shawarma easily stood out as a favourite, while the Santorini Spritz, infused with berry wine, added a refreshing note to the cocktail experience. The space itself is thoughtfully designed, featuring a striking deep maroon royal bar, plush lounging sofas, a conference room, and an intimate dining area, making it a versatile spot for everything from relaxed conversations to formal gatherings.

Yet, the true highlight of the evening was the newly unveiled Amber Terrace. An ideal setting to watch the sunset, the terrace serves inventive root-to-fruit cocktails inspired by iconic flavours of Rajasthan. Designed to evoke the charm of a royal desert tent, the space features block-printed canopies, elegant dining tables placed under beautifully crafted arches, and pristine views peeking through traditional jharokhas. While Afro-inspired beats play softly in the background, the overall atmosphere remains unmistakably Indian.

The cocktail menu features inventive creations such as Desert Amber, crafted with ker berry; Pink City Hues, infused with kewda; Piplu Picante; and Amer Amethyst, made with lesua. The philosophy behind the bar is simple yet thoughtful — using every part of the fruit to craft sustainable, flavour-forward cocktails. The food menu leans towards Pan-Asian flavours, with highlights ranging from delicate dim sum and sushi to the signature Amber Almond Curry. This creamy yellow curry, layered with Thai-inspired flavours and finished with the restaurant’s own twist, leaves a lingering richness on the palate.

To conclude the meal, the Pistachio Tiramisu is an absolute must-try. Even those who usually shy away from desserts will find it hard to resist. Perfectly balanced between sweetness and coffee notes, the dessert features delicate layers infused with pistachio cream and coffee flavours. It is finished with a smooth pistachio cream topping and a pistachio-coconut crumble, separated by a crisp tuile. On the palate, it is smooth, indulgent, beautifully balanced, and melts effortlessly with every bite.

Outhouse and PUMA India introduce a limited-edition charm pack designed exclusively for the Speedcat

There are sneakers, and then there are cultural icons. This week, Outhouse gave the cult-favourite PUMA Speedcat an unexpected couture twist with the launch of 5 limited-edition iconic charms for the sneakers.

Each individually crafted charm is detachable and blends dual metal, enamel, pearls and cubic zirconia. Each piece carries the brand’s signature craftsmanship while drawing inspiration from the world of speed, garages, pit stops and the romance of late-night drives. “When we began imagining this collaboration with PUMA, we were drawn to the idea of translating speed into something you could hold, wear and collect. Each charm was designed as a small relic from the road. Objects you might discover in a garage, at a pit stop, or along a late-night drive, reimagined with the craftsmanship and detail that define Outhouse. Metal and enamel meet pearls and cubic zirconia to transform industrial symbols into pieces of adornment,” say Outhouse founders Kaabia Grewal and Sasha Grewal. The result is playful, collectible and unapologetically bold. A sneaker that invites you to style it your way.

The Sen - a private sanctuary for the senses opens in Uttarakhand

Set in the quiet hills of Uttarakhand, The Sen is a new luxury retreat created for travellers looking to slow down and spend time in nature. Surrounded by forests and fresh mountain air, the property offers a small number of private suites that open out to beautiful views of the hills, giving guests a calm and peaceful stay. The retreat brings together comfortable living spaces, simple dining experiences made with fresh ingredients, and outdoor activities that help guests explore the surrounding nature. It is also designed for small celebrations and private gatherings in a relaxed setting.

The Sen is the vision of Nakul Sen, who spent more than three decades working in the fashion industry. Built over four years, the property carefully follows the natural shape of the hillside while keeping its old trees intact. “When I first discovered this quiet place in the hills, it felt very special,” says Sen. “The Sen is my way of creating a peaceful sanctuary in the mountains.”

Jimmy Choo launches a new bridal campaign, "The Rules of Engagement", starring Gabbriette

Jimmy Choo has unveiled a new bridal campaign called The Rules of Engagement, starring creative talent and model Gabbriette Bechtel. The campaign brings a fresh and fun take on bridal style, focusing on confidence, personality and self expression rather than following traditional wedding rules.

The campaign, shot by Mark Kean and styled by Vanessa Coyle, also introduces pieces from the Jimmy Choo 2026 Bridal Collection. At the heart of the 2026 Bridal Collection is a motif that has long been tied to the house. Pearls, symbols of purity, love and new beginnings, continue to define many of the designs. The SACORA sandal stands out with nearly 1,969 pearl details, while the AURELIE style blends delicate lace with pearl and crystal accents. Familiar house signatures also return, including the SAEDA pump with its elegant anklet and the fully embellished AZIA sandal, finished with more than 5,000 stones.

New additions bring a softer romance to the collection. The FAIZ pump explores the sculptural beauty of lace, while the FAYA, a striking red satin pump with a grosgrain bow and JC monogram seal, feels almost like a love letter from another era. Accessories such as the BON BON bag, offered in ivory satin and pearl embellishments, complete the modern bridal wardrobe.

Barbie Celebrates International Women's Day With First-Ever Barbie Dream Team of Global Female Role Models

This week, Barbie revealed a one-of-a-kind doll inspired by Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana, celebrating her achievements on and off the cricket field. It feels like a small but meaningful reminder of how far women’s sport has come in the public imagination.

The tribute is part of Barbie’s first-ever Dream Team, a global group of women who are making an impact in their own fields. Mandhana represents India alongside well-known names such as tennis legend Serena Williams, research astronaut Kellie Gerardi and eight-time surfing champion Stephanie Gilmore. The doll itself will not be sold in stores. It simply exists as a symbolic gesture.

Viya by Vikram Goyal Opens Flagship Store at Mumbai’s Iconic Trafford House

After more than a decade away, Viya has returned to Mumbai with a new flagship store at the historic Trafford House. For founder and designer Vikram Goyal, the opening feels less like an expansion and more like a homecoming.

Set inside one of the city’s old heritage buildings, the space keeps much of its original character. The architecture, high ceilings and older details have been carefully preserved, while the interiors have been kept simple and modern. The idea seems clear: let the design pieces speak for themselves. Spread across 4,600 square feet, the store brings together Viya’s full lifestyle collection, from furniture and lighting to vases, trays and soft furnishings. It also introduces new additions like apparel and a larger collection of cane pieces. There is even a private room for design consultations.
