Luxury travel is evolving beyond means. The traveller of today is discerning with a travel philosophy rooted in experiences. Gone are the days when flying overseas meant ticking off global shopping lists and returning home with suitcases bursting at the seams. Today’s traveller is different. They're more discerning, intentional and seek experiences, not acquisitions, and overcrowded destinations no longer impress; exclusivity does. The easily accessible has quietly lost its shine, replaced by rarity, intimacy, and invitation-only access.

"In a world saturated with access, true differentiation lies in filtration" —–––––––––Abhishek Dadlani, Founder, Lushescapes
This shift is particularly prominent in India, a rapidly growing luxury economy. With the rise in HNIs and UHNIs, spending patterns have evolved. Investments once focused on assets and collectibles are now moving toward experiential luxury. Spotting this change early, Abhishek Dadlani founded Lushescapes, a Dubai-based luxury travel house designed to serve ultra-high-net-worth individuals. Drawing from his own love for exploration and meaningful connection, the vision was to curate memories that last a lifetime. He says, “Indian wealth has matured rapidly, creating a generation that has already accessed the best of traditional luxury and now seeks something more consequential. In a world saturated with access, true differentiation lies in filtration.”

After seeing the growing demand and success of Lushescapes, Dadlani decided to go further. In 2026, he launched Meridian One — a private, around-the-world journey aboard a fully chartered all-flatbed Boeing 757, limited to just 20 couples. "The rise of invite-only platforms reflects a broader shift from scale to curation, from consumption to community," adds Dadlani.
Introducing Meridian One
Meridian One is a 22-night experience limited to only 40 guests and priced at $125,000 per person. It departs from Dubai and connects eight destinations: Iceland, Cuba, the Peruvian Amazon, Easter Island, French Polynesia, Australia, Thailand, and back to Dubai. Dadlani believes that this experience is for those who believe they have already travelled everywhere. "Born from the understanding that traditional luxury often delivers comfort without cohesion or meaning, Meridian One reimagines travel as a continuous, connected journey. Instead of fragmented indulgences, it offers a seamless, perspective-expanding experience crafted for deeper engagement, not just isolated moments of opulence," shared Dadlani. For him, the real meaning behind curating such a journey lies in "curated introductions and immersive moments that build enduring intellectual capital, meaningful relationships, and a lasting community."

Unlike conventional luxury tours, Meridian One introduces what Lushescapes calls “Impossible Moments” at every destination — closed-door, non-commercial experiences created exclusively for this journey and unavailable to the general public. These include a restricted-access geothermal ceremony at dawn in Iceland; a private dinner inside a historic mansion in Havana hosted by cultural historians and musicians; a night ceremony with indigenous elders in the Amazon Rainforest; a sunset ritual at a restricted Moai site on Easter Island; ancestral lagoon navigation in Tahiti; a private dawn welcome on protected land in Australia’s Daintree Rainforest; and a closed temple blessing followed by a farewell feast in Chiang Mai.

While visiting these destinations, accommodation throughout the journey promises luxury and comfort. Stays include some of the world’s most discreet and prestigious properties. From the Retreat Hotel at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland to an Amazon river expedition aboard Zafiro, followed by handpicked luxury lodges and resorts across the Pacific and Asia, every stay mirrors the philosophy of privacy and rare access.
But the exclusivity doesn't end on land; it's extended to the sky. Onboard, guests experience silent cabin hours on long-haul sectors, curated welcome rituals, and concierge-led personalisation that begins even before departure from Dubai. Each guest receives a Meridian One welcome pack, while post-journey aftercare includes a private photo gallery, a memory book, and personal correspondence — thoughtful touches that extend the experience long after the journey concludes, which is the true essence of luxury experiences.
