Tresind Studio made history by becoming the first Indian restaurant in the world to earn 3 Michelin stars

A proud moment for Indian cuisine—and one for the history books! Dubai’s beloved Trèsind Studio has just pulled off something truly spectacular: it’s become the very first Indian restaurant in the world to receive three Michelin stars. Yes, you read that right—three shining stars in the prestigious Michelin Guide Dubai 2025. Nestled in the lush surroundings of the St. Regis Gardens at Palm Jumeirah, Trèsind Studio has once again reminded the world that Indian food is not just rich in flavour and soul, but also deserving of the very top spot on the global fine dining map.

Led by the incredibly talented Chef Himanshu Saini, the restaurant has been steadily raising the bar with its intimate 20-seater format, where every course tells a beautiful story, rooted in India, yet reimagined with modern flair and artistic finesse. Since its second star in 2023, Trèsind Studio has continued to surprise and delight with tasting menus that feel more like poetry than plates.

Sharing his thoughts on the win, Chef Himanshu said, “We are deeply humbled to receive this extraordinary recognition. Our goal has always been to present Indian cuisine not just as nostalgic but as progressive and worthy of the world’s highest culinary accolades.” Let's just say Indian fine dining has truly arrived on the world stage, and it’s dazzling.

World’s No. 1 Restaurant, Disfrutar, Comes to India, Hosted at The Oberoi, New Delhi

In this week’s luxury news, India’s culinary scene had its own once-in-a-lifetime moment—served with a side of Michelin magic. Culinary Culture, in collaboration with The Oberoi, New Delhi and Don Julio, pulled off a true gastronomic coup by bringing none other than Disfrutar, Barcelona’s crown jewel of fine dining, to Indian shores for the very first time. On May, 29, the visionary Chef Oriol Castro treated Delhi’s most passionate food lovers to an extraordinary showcase of his culinary wizardry. Known for reimagining food through the lens of science, art, and a touch of theatre, Disfrutar’s avant-garde approach came alive in a rare live demonstration. From playful textures to dishes that feel more like storytelling than meals, every moment was an eye-opener.

“It’s such a joy to finally be here,” said Oriol Castro. “India has always fascinated us, its flavours, its traditions. We’re so grateful to experience this exchange and share a bit of our Barcelona kitchen with such an incredible culinary culture.” The Oberoi, New Delhi, currently celebrating 60 years of luxury hospitality, couldn’t have asked for a better way to mark the milestone. “We’re thrilled to bring this world-class experience to our guests,” shared Abhishek Panshikar, General Manager. “It’s not every day you host the best restaurant in the world.”

Jimmy Choo launches “The Archive: 1997–2001,” collection

Also in luxury news this week, Jimmy Choo celebrates 30 dazzling years of fashion-forward footwear by launching The Archive: 1997–2001 a capsule collection that reimagines some of the brand’s most iconic early designs. This nostalgic yet fresh reissue features eight standout styles that helped shape Jimmy Choo’s rise to global stardom.

Each shoe in this curated edit is a tribute to the brand’s bold beginnings. Think elemental names like The Boot, The Thong, The Slide, and The Strappy. Expect everything from a sultry silver chainmail thong sandal (2000), inspired by Y2K’s famous handkerchief tops and taking over eight hours to craft; to a mint nubuck slide (1999) that perfectly captures the “effortless chic” of late ’90s minimalism. Other highlights include a python-print leather boot that hits mid-calf (2000), a snakeskin-embossed heel with a playful bow (2000), and a satin strappy sandal in classic black (1997). There's also a gold sandal adorned with a floating floral corsage (2001). And of course, no Jimmy Choo retrospective would be complete without a little Sex and the City sparkle. Two reissues from 1998 are directly linked to the cult show that catapulted the brand into pop culture history. The Leo—a leopard-print ankle-strap heel worn by Sarah Jessica Parker in the show’s opening credits—is back, along with the lilac suede, feather-trimmed 72138 heel that left Carrie Bradshaw breathless with her unforgettable cry: “I lost my Choo!”

Loewe Puzzle Bag celebrates a decade

In luxury news this week, Loewe’s beloved Puzzle bag turns 10, and the Spanish fashion house is marking the milestone in signature style. Since its debut in the Spring 2015 women’s runway collection, this origami-inspired, cuboid-shaped bag, designed by creative visionary Jonathan Anderson—has become a modern icon, instantly recognised for its geometric panels and architectural elegance.

To celebrate a decade of design innovation, Loewe unveils a special anniversary capsule: 20 Puzzle bags, each a masterpiece in its own right. Nineteen of the styles are limited-edition re-editions pulled from the archives—fan favourites that reflect the brand’s creative evolution, while one brand-new piece, the “Confetti” Puzzle, has been specially crafted for the occasion.

The Confetti edition is a visual delight, covered in thousands of leather and metal sequins, a tribute to Italian artist Lara Favaretto’s sculptural confetti cubes featured in Loewe’s Fall 2023 women’s runway show. This celebration is all about bold textures, whimsical embellishments, playful colourways, and unexpected materials that speak to the house’s art-meets-craft DNA.

Each anniversary Puzzle bag is finished with a commemorative metal plaque and comes with two signature Loewe balloon charms, a collector’s dream.Launching in select stores on May 29, this capsule promises to be one of the most exciting luxury drops of the season
