Michael Kors Unveils The Spring/Summer 2025 Collection
Michael Kors’ Spring/Summer 2025 collection, showcased at The Shed in New York City’s Hudson Yards, embraced a theme of Mediterranean romance. Celebrating his 35 years of collaboration with Italian artisans, Kors highlighted the luxury of craftsmanship, subtle details, and artisanal handwork throughout the collection.“This collection is all about the workmanship, tailoring, and handwork that make a piece timeless,” Kors explained. “It reflects Mediterranean contrasts—laid-back yet luxurious, rustic yet opulent—combining city sophistication with a resort attitude.”
Drawing inspiration from the 1950s' romanticism and the sleek minimalism of the 1990s, Kors focused on rich textures like raffia embroideries, floral appliqués, luxe lace, and crushed satins. Defined-waist silhouettes, soft skirts, and relaxed trousers brought an effortless elegance to the runway, while dramatic necklines and bare tailoring added modern flair.
The colour palette ranged from classic black and white to earthy tones like chocolate and ecru, punctuated by shades of blue and green. Sculptural heels and flat fisherman sandals completed the look, along with hand-woven leather bags that showcased the artisanal craftsmanship Kors is known for.
