The Lanesborough, London's afternoon tea experience is an innovative series of seasonal afternoon teas that pays homage to the Regency era; a time of great revelling and high style, of elegant parties, balls, and grand dinners, with a contemporary twist. Setting the scene, the Queen Charlotte Afternoon Tea takes place in The Lanesborough’s royally decorated dining room, naturally illuminated during the day by a domed glass roof while offering a soothing ambience at night under softly lit chandeliers. The menu pays tribute to the the whimsical and beloved characters, including King George, Lady Violet, Lady Danbury and of course Queen Charlotte herself, by way of intricately designed sweet treats and cocktails created by Head Pastry Chef Salvatore Mungiovino and his team.

Inspired by Lady Violet’s elegant fashion, The Lady Violet is a chocolate bavaroise, mango compote with lime chantilly which rests on a crunchy shortbread base and is finished with tempered chocolate, and sugar flowers. Finally the, Danbury Delight takes inspiration from Lady Danbury’s love of hats and jewels.
