April 2025

Mestizo, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi

Latin spirit, right here in Delhi! Mestizo has officially landed in Priya Market, Vasant Vihar—and it’s bringing the full Latin American fiesta with it. We’re talking Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Chile and a little Spain thrown in too, all served up with a modern, high-energy twist. Step inside and you’ll find yourself surrounded by vibrant, tropical interiors that feel more Tulum than Delhi. The 135-seater restaurant plays host to live Latin music and dance performances, so your dinner often turns into a cultural escape. The food’s as bold as the vibe, think Lamb Birria, Churrasco-style Lamb Chops, Mushroom Tacos, and Dulce de Leche Churros. And don’t miss the drinks like mezcal, pisco, tequila... take your pick.

Roma, New Delhi

Say ciao to Roma, the newest bistro in Connaught Place that’s giving serious Euro holiday vibes. Created by Dinesh and Pooja Arora (yep, the brains behind Chica and Qavalli), this one’s a beauty—imagine Roman architecture with a touch of sleek, modern Europe. It’s a massive space (9,000 sq. ft.!) and serves up soulful European comfort food curated by Chef Aman Dhar. Expect rich, warming dishes like Butternut Squash Ravioli, Coconut Fry Prawns with white garlic chutney, and Tamarind Chicken with roasted cashews. The cocktails? A whole other level, designed by mixologist Kunal, each one crafted to match the vibe perfectly. End on a sweet note with the Roma Torte, a layered dream of coffee sponge, chocolate ganache, and espresso buttercream.

Odella, New Delhi

Green Park has a shiny new gem—Odella. Step inside and you’re greeted by Baroque-inspired opulence paired with a globally eclectic menu. It’s flamboyant, fun, and full of flavour. Vegetarians are spoiled with Truffle Parmesan Arancini, Jackfruit Enchiladas, and Gucchi Galouti, while carnivores can dig into dishes like Nakhre Murgh (chicken mince with cheese and nuts), Mansa Ghee Roast, and Truffle Rock Shrimp Tempura. The cocktails are as bold as the interiors—the Venice Sunset blends jasmine gin with Aperol and citrus, while the Seville Heat Wave turns up the spice with tequila, bell pepper, and tajín. Trust us, it’s a feast for the eyes and palate.

Mammakila, New Delhi

In the atmospheric lanes of Mehrauli, right under the gaze of the majestic Qutub Minar, Mammakilla has quietly arrived—and it’s anything but ordinary. Tucked away behind plush velvet curtains and operating under a strict no-photos policy, this isn’t your typical bar or restaurant. It’s an immersive, high-concept experience brought to life by the ever-visionary Zorawar Kalra.

So, what is it? India’s very first Aztec-inspired bar, Mammakilla is a love letter to the mystical energy of the moon goddess it's named after, and to Delhi itself—its secrets, its seduction, and its soul. The 1300 sq. ft rooftop space has been designed as a contemporary fort, full of quiet drama and subtle theatricality. Think terracotta walls that breathe, intricate mosaic murals that seem to whisper stories, cane pendant lights that scatter soft shadows, and graffiti tucked away just beyond the obvious—this place is as much about what you don’t see as what you do.

Now to the menu. The drinks here are more like rituals than your usual cocktails. Expect bold, unconventional pairings like the Milky Way—a heady mix of whisky, hazelnut, and umami—or the Peruvian Pizza Highball, where tequila cheekily meets pesto. If you’re brave enough, try the Mango Ceviche (yes, it’s a drink), or go all in with the Smoked Pumpkin Salad—a cocktail, not a salad, we promise. And at the centre of it all is the Guéridon Cocktail Trolley, where your drink is crafted tableside to match your energy and mood. Elixirs like Orange-Vetiver, Banana-Fig, and Lotus Biscoff-Caramel set the tone for an evening that feels more like a performance than a night out.

Everything here is locally sourced and thoughtfully crafted, from the ingredients to the décor—bringing together Indian craftsmanship with global vision. As Kalra himself puts it, Mammakilla is a space that feels “ancient and futuristic, grounded yet elevated”—a moody, mystical escape made for those who live life intentionally.

TÓA 66, Mumbai

If you’re on the lookout for a cosy new Thai spot in Mumbai, say hello to TÓA 66. Tucked away in the city, this intimate 26-seater restaurant is a vegetarian Thai delight. The space has a warm, minimal charm that instantly makes you feel at home. The real magic lies in its seven-course tasting menu — thoughtfully curated by Thai chefs (and married duo) Kanchit and Natanong Vongvichai, who bring over 35 years of experience to the table. Expect dishes like Miang Kham, Larb Tofu Two Ways, and Thapthim Krop that celebrate authentic Thai flavours with a modern vegetarian twist. It's refined, comforting, and a must-try for Thai food lovers.

Shenoy's, Worli

Worli just welcomed a restaurant steeped in legacy, Shenoy’s. Helmed by Chef Vikram Shenoy, this place brings back the flavours of the family's Goud Saraswat Brahmin (GSB) heritage with a modern flair. Think nostalgic, home-style recipes but elevated. With a homely and welcoming ambience, Shenoy’s feels like a warm hug. If you’re into niche regional Indian dishes, especially from the Konkan coast, this is your new go-to.

INKA, Mumbai

Say hello to Inka, Bastian Hospitality’s bold new Peruvian-Asian restaurant in Mumbai. It’s got the wow factor—spread over a sprawling 6,000 sq. ft. with a lovely open-air mezzanine, perfect for cocktails under the stars. Chef Kinyo Rodas Tristan leads the charge in the kitchen, crafting dishes with theatrical flair using dry ice, nitrogen, and a whole lot of fire. The menu is split into Mar (ocean), Montana (mountains), and Bosque (forest)—with hits like Tartare de Pulpo Nikkei and Mushroom Salvaje. Argentinian mixologist Dario Araujo shakes up inventive cocktails with a spicy twist—think Szechuan pepper and cardamom. Vegan? You’re covered too.

Mezzo Mezzo, JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, Mumbai

A Juhu favourite has returned—Mezzo Mezzo at JW Marriott is back with a breezy Mediterranean makeover. Whether you fancy poolside seating or an alfresco meal with beach views, this one delivers. The interiors are inspired by charming coastal towns, complete with an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs whip up Napoli-style pizzas and Spanish prawns. Chef Roberto Apa leads the kitchen, while the cocktail menu plays with unusual combinations like Baklava Gin and Smoked Salsa Picante. It’s relaxed, elegant, and oh-so-delicious.

Blondie, Mumbai

Bastian’s first café concept has arrived in Khar, and it’s got personality. Meet Blondie, a cosy space built for laid-back catch-ups and great brews. It’s all about sustainability, community, and top-tier coffee. Their menu features standouts like Cask-Age Whiskey Barrel-Aged Brew and a game-changing matcha programme with leaves sourced straight from Kagoshima, Japan. Whether you’re a coffee geek or a curious sipper, Blondie has your name on it.

Paradox, Mumbai

There’s a new reason to head to Mahalakshmi, and it’s anything but ordinary. Tucked inside the old-world charm of Shree Laxmi Woollen Mills, Paradox is the latest offering from Aditi and Aditya Dugar — the powerhouse duo behind Masque, India’s top restaurant on Asia’s 50 Best.

Step inside and you’re instantly transported. Designed by Ashiesh Shah, the interiors are a modern nod to Mumbai’s Art Deco legacy — think black-and-white chequered floors, lush green leather walls, embroidered silk panels, and a moody, immersive vibe. The space flows like a good drink: upstairs, an intimate bar experience with a burlwood centrepiece; downstairs, a darker, flame-forward kitchen where food and conversation sizzle in equal measure. Behind the bar is Ankush Gamre, Masque’s head mixologist, now free to experiment without limits. His cocktail menu is a playful tug-of-war between bold and balanced — from the ocean-kissed Cthulhu, to the indulgent Prodigal Son, and the quietly clever Spirited Away. Expect drinks that challenge, surprise, and linger.

And the food? Varun Totlani brings his irreverent charm to the kitchen with dishes that dare to break the mould — think Halloumi with Poha, or Bone Marrow grilled over live embers.

Mizu Izakaya Goa

Mumbai’s much-loved Japanese restaurant, Mizu Izakaya, has made its way to Goa, opening its first coastal spot in Siolim—just around the corner from the peaceful Siolim Bird Sanctuary. Surrounded by greenery and calm, it’s the perfect setting for Mizu’s laid-back and soulful vibe.

Founded by childhood friends Chef Lakhan Jethani and Vedant Malik, Mizu is India’s first true izakaya—a casual Japanese-style bar and eatery that’s all about good food, good drinks, and good company. “Goa gives us the chance to slow down and explore,” says Vedant. “It’s the kind of energy izakayas are all about.”

The menu brings back favourites from their Mumbai location—like Hokkaido Mentai Grilled Scallops, Sizzling Mochi, and the lovely Kabochi Tart. The food is flavourful, comforting, and made with skill, but never fussy. For the first time, Mizu has a walk-up bar, and it’s the heart of the space. Led by mixologist Avantika Malik, the drinks are inspired by Japanese flavours and Goa’s tropical mood—think fresh cocktails with yuzu, shiso, and more.

Desserts, created by Chef Nikhil Menon, are fun and thoughtful. From the pretty Autumn Lantern to a soft Japanese-style Cotton Candy, the sweet finishes are as memorable as the mains.

The interiors, designed by The Boheim Team, feel calm and cinematic—with soft tones, natural materials, and old Japanese film clips playing in the background. Mizu Goa is more than just a meal—it’s a whole mood.

Hikki, New Delhi

A fresh entry into Delhi’s dynamic food scene, Hikki is a new bar and restaurant that reimagines Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei cuisine. Tucked in the heart of the capital, Hikki draws its name and spirit from 'hikikomori', a Japanese term describing a form of social withdrawal. Here though, it transforms into a stylish escape—an immersive, high-design cocoon of flavour and craft. The interiors are a juxtaposition of energy and stillness—designed by Renesa Architects, the space features glossy red tiles, dramatic mirrors, and a striking olive tree at its core. The ambiance evolves with the evening, shifting with the mood and music.

Chef Vaibhav Bhargava takes the reins in the kitchen, fusing sharp Japanese technique with the vibrant warmth of Peruvian ingredients. Think beautifully plated ceviche, smoky grilled bites, and sashimi with a citrusy twist. At the bar, signature cocktails and a curated sake selection complete the picture. Guests are welcomed by a concierge, setting the tone for a dining experience that feels polished yet intimate.

Whether you drop in for a leisurely lunch or an atmospheric evening, Hikki blurs the line between fine dining and escapist storytelling—an invitation to unplug, indulge, and immerse.

It’s a space where food, drink, and people merge in perfect harmony, just like the spirit of an izakaya.

The menu is as exciting as it is thorough. Each dish is a flavourful journey, blending traditional flavours with modern twists, offering a balance of marbling and depth that will leave you coming back for more.
