Diana Penty to Amit Aggarwal, These Are The Best Looks From The Cannes Film Festival 2026

*This article will be updated daily with all the new looks!

The annual celebration of independent cinema on the French Riviera kicks off today. Running from May 12, 2026, to May 23, 2026, at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, it's the moment of glamour, when everyone gathers to celebrate cinema.  Each year, this iconic fusion of fashion and film in the South of France sets the benchmark for red-carpet glamour.

The Cannes Film Festival 2026 is already shaping up to be a study in modern red carpet dressing. Sculptural couture, sharp tailoring, and controlled glamour define a Croisette that continues to set the benchmark for cinematic fashion.

Alia Bhatt

Four stellar looks and more to come? Leading the conversation is Alia Bhatt, who brought understated grandeur to the red carpet. But the real star behind each look was celebrity stylist Rhea Kapoor. Bhatt’s recent look was a draped ivory Chanderi dhoti-skirt corseted gown by Tarun Tahiliani. Bringing Indian tradition to Cannes, the look oozed glamour, finesse, and a subtle Western touch. She paired the plunging silhouette with minimal ethnic jewellery, including a nose ring, haathphool, ear clips, and a payal. The ensemble beautifully blended vintage Hollywood glamour with traditional Indian dressing.

For the opening night, the actor wore a pristine peach ensemble by Tamara Ralph, accentuating her curves while complementing her skin tone. The real highlight, however, was the chiffon drape, almost reminiscent of a dupatta. The star paired the look with Amrapali Jewels’ Golconda Rosé, a handcrafted white-gold high jewellery creation centred on a rare 5.53-carat Golconda Type IIa diamond, softened by over 168 carats of pink coral and intricate diamond detailing. The piece distilled Jaipur craftsmanship into a contemporary global language, placing Indian high jewellery firmly in the spotlight at Cannes.

Alia’s first appearance resembled a work of art. She wore a custom ball gown by Yash Patil, its hand-painted landscapes echoing the serene beauty of her pastel palette. The corset fit elegantly while the skirt flowed with soft drama. Sparkling jewels—including Chopard yellow diamonds—and Manolo Blahnik mules lent a refined touch to the ethereal look.

It seems like pastel tones define Alia's colour palette this year. Just when you think you've seen the best, she takes over the red carpet in an ethereal white gown. Featuring lace detailing on the corset and a lace choker, the minimalist gown is a perfect pick for white weddings. Keeping the detailing in monotone, she opted for simple diamond studs and a barely-there makeup look to elevate the ensemble.

For the L’Oréal Paris dinner at Cannes, Alia Bhatt once again returned to Tarun Tahiliani in a custom ensemble centred around chintz-inspired florals. The gown combined deep burgundy and soft ivory tones through an off-the-shoulder corseted bodice, curved sleeve detailing, and a long column skirt decorated with intricate botanical motifs. Drawing inspiration from historical chintz textiles, the look merged Victorian corsetry with sari-inspired draping around the waist, creating a silhouette that felt both regal and contemporary.

Adding another layer of vintage grandeur was a Sunita Shekhawat Bow Necklace set from the Art Deco collection, crafted with 26.43 carats of rose-cut diamonds. Positioned high along the neckline, the jewellery complemented the off-shoulder silhouette while reinforcing the ensemble’s period-inspired elegance.

Farhana Bodi

Farhana Bodi never simply attends the Cannes Film Festival. She arrives in glamour. This year, she leaned fully into maximalism in a custom aquamarine couture gown by Atelier Zuhra. Encrusted with Swarovski crystals and weighing close to 15 kilograms, the sculptural silhouette delivered pure red carpet theatre. She completed the look with accessories from Saltanat Diamond Jewellery, which were created exclusively for Cannes and took close to a year and over 8,000 hours of meticulous craftsmanship to complete. The necklace and earrings feature 16.51 carats of diamonds, 48.69 carats of aquamarine, and 44.85 carats of beryl, while the statement ring centres around a striking 33.44-carat Paraiba tourmaline.

Rahi Chadda

Rahi Chadda offered one of the most refined menswear moments of the festival in Dior by Jonathan Anderson. A cropped double-breasted jacket, fluid ivory draping, and precise tailoring reworked traditional black-tie dressing into something more relaxed and expressive. Finished with Manolo Blahnik footwear, Messika jewellery, and a Hublot timepiece, the look reflected the ongoing shift in menswear toward softness and individuality.

For the premiere of El Ser Querido at Cannes Film Festival 2026, Rahi Chadda stepped onto the Croisette in Mithridate by Daniel Fletcher, delivering a menswear moment. The look centred around a pristine blush-white double-breasted jacket structured sharply through the shoulders and elongated through the body, worn open over a pearl-toned satin shirt with a fluid finish.

A deep burgundy cummerbund anchored the softness of the ivory palette with a rich jewel-toned contrast, while slim black tailored trousers kept the silhouette clean and precise. Delicate Messika jewellery, including a diamond brooch pinned to the lapel and statement rings, elevated the look while the iconic Christian Louboutin red bottoms added a polished finishing touch. The slicked-back hairstyle complemented the sharpness of the tailoring, while warm terracotta tones around the eyes softened the overall styling.

Tara Sutaria

Tara Sutaria delivered one of the festival's most cinematic debuts in a custom HELSA Studio ball gown styled by Tanya Ghavri. Leaning fully into vintage Hollywood glamour, the actor embraced structured elegance with a dramatic ivory silhouette that felt timeless against the backdrop of the Croisette. The gown featured a sculpted bodice and voluminous skirt that moved beautifully across the grand staircase. The soft ivory palette added a monochromatic sophistication, while pointed pumps, pearl drop earrings, and softly waved hair completed the old Hollywood mood. The sweetheart neckline softened the gown's dramatic structure, lending the ensemble a romantic quality while framing it with delicate femininity.

After turning heads in a chic black-and-white midi look, Tara Sutaria returned with another standout look, this time embracing old Hollywood glamour in an all-black Rhea Costa ensemble for the Red Sea Women in Cinema event. The look featured a dramatic off-the-shoulder neckline with voluminous structured draping across the bust, drawing attention to the collarbones and creating a sculptural effect.

The fitted corset-inspired waist sharpened the silhouette before flowing into a sleek pencil skirt. Opera-length black leather gloves, chunky gold earrings, pointed black stilettos, and angular dark sunglasses completed the look, adding a retro cinematic quality. Keeping the beauty look understated yet polished, Tara opted for nude-toned eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, mascara-coated lashes, softly flushed cheeks, and luminous highlighted skin. A nude lip balanced the monochromatic palette, while soft retro curls styled with a side partition and added volume brought the old Hollywood inspiration fully to life.

Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez made a powerful statement at the Chopard “Miracles” Gala, marking a standout moment in her Cannes 2026 appearances. The actor wore a custom strapless black mini dress from Caroline Couture featuring a structured bodice, clean neckline, and intricate sequin and beadwork that caught the light throughout the evening.

The monochrome base was elevated with a full suite of high jewellery from Chopard, including a diamond tennis necklace, a wide cuff bracelet, and spiral earrings. Styled with voluminous side-parted waves and a glowing soft glam makeup look, the ensemble reflected refined glamour while reinforcing Jacqueline’s consistent presence at Cannes, marking her third consecutive year at the festival.

After making a standout appearance at Cannes Film Festival 2026, Jacqueline Fernandez returned to the French Riviera with yet another couture moment at the prestigious Global Gift Gala. This time, the actor embraced dramatic old-Hollywood glamour in a structured ivory ensemble from Richard Quinn’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

The strapless gown hugged her silhouette with architectural precision which created a sculpted shape giving it a vintage look. Against the dreamy Cannes backdrop, the look carried a cinematic quality, evoking the elegance of classic European film stars. Dramatic black opera gloves introduced contrast and theatricality to the soft ivory tones. Complementing the couture look was exquisite jewellery by Mahesh Notandass, including a delicate pearl neckpiece and matching accessories that added to the overall styling.

Demi Moore

Demi Moore delivered one of the festival’s most-discussed fashion runs in custom Jacquemus, moving from playful polka dots at the jury photocall to sculptural red-carpet glamour.

Demi Moore continued her standout run at Cannes Fashion Week with another commanding red-carpet moment, this time in a custom Gucci creation paired with Chopard jewellery. Attending the screening of La Vie D'Une Femme on May 13 as part of the festival jury, The Substance actor wore a rich shade of purple in a strapless gown with a ruched bodice, sheer sleeves, and a flowing skirt with a dramatic thigh-high slit. Matching purple heels and delicate diamond earrings completed the look, balancing elegance with old Hollywood glamour.

What made the ensemble especially striking was the liquid-like sheen of the fabric, which shifted with the lighting throughout the evening. Under camera flashes, the gown radiated an almost iridescent glow, while softer lighting revealed a more muted, ethereal quality. The contrast between transparency and heavier draping added dimension to the silhouette, particularly through the sweeping train and layered skirt construction.

Demi Moore continued her unstoppable Cannes fashion streak, once again taking over social media with one of her boldest looks of the festival yet. Known for delivering consistently standout red carpet moments throughout Cannes 2026, the actor stepped out for the Paper Tiger screening in a striking hot pink Matières Fécales ballgown that instantly became one of the internet’s most talked-about fashion moments.

Departing from the sleek, body-hugging silhouettes she had worn earlier at the festival, Moore embraced exaggerated couture volume in a dramatic, raw-hemmed gown complete with an enormous sculptural bow that dominated the look. The playful yet avant-garde silhouette brought theatricality to the Cannes red carpet while reinforcing Demi Moore’s status as one of this year’s undeniable fashion highlights.

Heidi Klum brought full old-Hollywood glamour to the Cannes 2026 red carpet in a breathtaking Monique Lhuillier couture creation that embraced sheer lace, corsetry, and dramatic volume. The supermodel wore a fully sheer corset gown featuring intricate gold-embroidered lace layered over semi-transparent panels, highlighting the delicate craftsmanship of the design.

The fitted bodice incorporated visible corset boning, while the trumpet-style skirt hugged the body before softly flaring toward the hemline. Adding even more drama was a voluminous crème taffeta opera coat draped off her shoulders. The oversized sleeves and sweeping train created a majestic movement across the red carpet, while the contrast between soft ivory taffeta and gold lace beneath lent the entire outfit a cinematic grandeur. Diamond jewellery, smoky eyes, nude lips, and softly waved blonde hair completed the glamorous styling.

Kelly Rutherford continued to champion quiet luxury in refined, understated eveningwear that leaned into minimalism rather than excess, while Jane Fonda once again embodied timeless couture elegance with unmistakable confidence. Joan Collins brought classic Hollywood glamour to the Croisette, proving that old-school red carpet dressing still commands attention.

Carlos Sainz added a sharp menswear moment in impeccably tailored formalwear, while Rebecca Donaldson leaned into modern minimalism with monochrome precision and clean silhouettes. Maura Higgins continued her strong Cannes run in sculpted couture and high-impact styling that quickly gained momentum across social media.

Fashion personalities Ginta Biku, Jennifer Azar, and Alice Abdel Aziz brought embellishment, drama, and statement silhouettes to the Croisette, each offering a distinct take on contemporary glamour. Ikram Abdi Omar stood out in a structured, elegant Stella McCartney look, while Anaïs Demoustier delivered a softer, more restrained interpretation of French red-carpet dressing. Nataly Osmann added a visually striking moment through dramatic styling, and Lucas Bravo closed the menswear narrative in relaxed, Riviera-ready tailoring.

Araya Alberta Hargate brought polished couture glamour to the Cannes Film Festival in a custom Giorgio Armani Privé Fall/Winter 2025–26 creation. Walking the red carpet as a L'Oréal Paris ambassador, the Thai superstar embraced classic sophistication in a dramatic black gown featuring a plunging neckline and sculpted silhouette.

Hande Erçel embraced full Cannes glamour in a custom Sophie Couture strapless gown drenched in gold. The sculpted silhouette reflected the opulence often associated with the festival’s most memorable red carpet moments, while the Pomellato Gemme Superlative High Jewellery necklace

added another layer of extravagance.

Imane Khelif marked her Cannes Film Festival debut with a sleek Chanel ensemble that represented a crossover between sport, cinema, and luxury fashion. The Algerian athlete wore a timeless black silk gabardine jacket styled with a crisp white cotton shirt and tailored black trousers from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2026 ready-to-wear collection. Coco Crush earrings in 18K white gold and diamonds, along with a statement brooch, added subtle refinement to the sharply tailored look.

Colman Domingo once again proved why he remains one of the strongest menswear forces on the Cannes red carpet, delivering what quickly became one of the festival’s most memorable fashion moments at the premiere of Garance. Wearing a custom Valentino ensemble, the actor embraced theatrical glamour through fluid tailoring, rich colour, and couture-level detailing.

The look centred on a sheer purple blouse featuring dramatic balloon sleeves, silver embellishments across the chest, and a flowing, cape-like extension that moved effortlessly across the red carpet. Styled with classic black tailored trousers, the ensemble balanced softness and structure while pushing traditional menswear into more expressive territory. Domingo completed the look with Boucheron pieces, including the Lavallière Diamants Brooch from the Histoire de Style, Art Déco High Jewellery Collection, as well as the Zebra Ring and Quatre Double White Edition rings.

Ruth Negga continued the festival’s fascination with black lace in Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, drawing inspiration from the house’s Spring 2018 collection. The layered tulle peplum introduced texture and drama to the silhouette, while the long column skirt created a sleek, elongated effect that balanced the proportions beautifully. The contrast between delicate lace detailing and structured tailoring gave the ensemble a distinctive edge, while Emerald Chopard jewels completed the look.

Brazilian model Isabella Menin delivered a striking red carpet moment in a sculptural emerald mermaid gown that radiated regal elegance. The fitted silhouette hugged the body before flaring dramatically toward the hem, creating a statuesque effect against the Cannes backdrop. The rich emerald tone added depth and sophistication, while the gown’s sculptural construction brought modern couture drama to the Croisette.

Aja Naomi King embraced romantic couture at the screening of La Vie D'Une Femme in a floral lace-effect gown paired with a matching choker. The white ensemble featured ruffled sleeves and intricate detailing throughout, creating softness without losing structure. While the actor is often associated with dramatic ball-gown silhouettes at Cannes, this Miu Miu look offered a more delicate and restrained interpretation of red-carpet dressing.

Dita Von Teese leaned into her signature Old Hollywood aesthetic at Cannes 2026, arriving for Bitter Christmas in a Tamara Ralph Spring/Summer 2026 couture creation. The look carried her trademark burlesque-inspired glamour.

Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid returned to Cannes glamour in a dramatic Prada couture moment that perfectly captured the festival’s love for cinematic dressing. The model wore a grey double-satin gown with a draped strapless neckline embellished with crystal embroidery, adding a soft shimmer under the Riviera lights.

The look was elevated further with a coordinated satin cape featuring bomber-style sleeves, adding volume and movement to the gown's sleek silhouette. White pointed-toe leather pumps added contrast, while Chopard diamonds, including statement earrings and stacked rings, completed the glamorous styling.

Bella Hadid once again proved why she remains one of Cannes’ definitive fashion forces, this time appearing at the premiere of La Bataille De Gaulle: L'Âge De Fer in a breathtaking Schiaparelli couture creation paired with Chopard jewellery. Designed by Daniel Roseberry and crafted with the work of over 130 artisans, the ivory crochet gown featured trompe l’œil lace embroidery, long sleeves, and a dramatic tiered mermaid train.

The plunging neckline, secured with a black brooch, subtly referenced Jane Birkin’s iconic 1969 Union of the Artists gala look, blending archival fashion inspiration with contemporary couture craftsmanship.

Charlotte Cardin continued her strong fashion streak at Cannes in a black lace Saint Laurent gown. Returning to the festival for the second consecutive year, the Quebec singer embraced sheer elegance in a floor-length silhouette that revealed glimpses of lingerie beneath the intricate lace detailing.

Gillian Anderson made her Cannes debut for Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma in an embellished blush-toned couture look by Miu Miu. The minimalist white column dress featured delicate beaded accents that added texture and sparkle to the clean silhouette.

Sophie Thatcher delivered a modern, edgy red carpet moment at the Her Private Hell screening in a custom Louis Vuitton ensemble. The look featured a striking contrast of structure and transparency, with a sheer black skirt adding movement and attitude to the overall silhouette. The result was a bold, contemporary interpretation of red carpet dressing with a strong fashion-forward edge.

Halsey brought dramatic couture glamour to the Cannes Film Festival 2026 at the screening of The Man I Love, stepping onto the red carpet in a custom Vivienne Westwood creation. The gold off-the-shoulder gown featured intricate black beaded detailing across the front, adding texture and contrast to the rich metallic fabric. A thigh-high slit introduced movement and sensuality to the otherwise sculptural silhouette, while the draped construction reflected Westwood’s signature balance between romance and rebellion.

Cate Blanchett delivered another masterclass in avant-garde couture dressing at the premiere of Garance in a Givenchy Fall 2026 ready-to-wear look by Sarah Burton. The painted, embroidered, shredded, and fringed backless gown brought together texture, craftsmanship, and theatrical construction in a way only Blanchett could carry with such ease.

Inspired by Flemish floral paintings, the gown featured intricate embroidered floral detailing throughout the silhouette. A halter neckline framed the shoulders before opening into a dramatic backless design, while voluminous fabric gathered around the forearms and was tied together with a black bow. Layers of fringe cascaded from both the sleeves and skirt.

Alexa Chung delivered one of the festival’s most romantic fashion moments in Dior Haute Couture. The British style icon wore a light blue hammered satin gown featuring a dramatic oversized black satin bow at the front and a sheer navy chiffon skirt embroidered with delicate black and blue organza florals. The ensemble carried an old-world charm against the Cannes backdrop.

The softly draped satin and subtle shimmer of the fabric gave the gown an ethereal quality, while the floral embroidery added depth and texture to the silhouette. One of the standout details of the look was the fluid draping at the back, which cascaded from the low-cut silhouette as she walked up the Palais steps. Diamond earrings and a matching bracelet added just the right amount of sparkle, while her softly waved bob and understated makeup kept the overall styling relaxed.

Sharon Stone subtly challenged Cannes’ evolving dress code in a dramatic couture moment at the premiere of Fjords. Wearing a look from London-based label Miss Sohee’s 2026 couture collection, the actor embraced volume, embellishment, and theatrical glamour despite the festival’s recent restrictions around oversized silhouettes.

The strapless gown featured an hourglass-shaped lavender panel intricately embroidered with florals and crystals, framed by rows of black beadwork that sculpted the silhouette. Echoing the dress's detailing, a dramatic black cape embellished with scattered crystals and floral embroidery added even more grandeur to the look. Stone completed the ensemble with a sparkling, embellished clutch, layers of diamond jewellery, and towering platform heels.

Urvashi Rautela embraced maximalist couture in a dazzling JoliPoli creation that instantly became one of the festival’s most extravagant fashion moments. The fitted mermaid-style silhouette featured a sheer lavender-toned base heavily adorned with crystals, sequins, beadwork, and intricate stone detailing that shimmered dramatically under the Cannes lights.

One of the standout features of the gown was its sculpted corset bodice, embroidered with swirling silver embellishments that appeared almost architectural. A sweetheart neckline softened the dramatic construction, while the shoulder accents and flowing cape sleeves added drama. Crystal tassels cascading from the shoulders created the illusion of sparkling wings, amplifying the fantasy-like glamour. Urvashi completed the look with a crystal-encrusted Judith Leiber carousel handbag, adding another statement accessory to the already high-impact couture moment.

Ishita Mangal brought a distinctly digital-era fashion energy to the Cannes Film Festival, blending influencer-era styling with couture-level polish. Known for her experimental fashion sensibility, the creator embraced a contemporary red carpet aesthetic that balanced glamour with individuality. Her look leaned into sculpted silhouettes, statement styling, and a confident modern approach that reflected the evolving presence of Indian digital personalities on international fashion platforms.

On day three of the festival, Malayalam cinema’s Kalyani Priyadarshan made a striking Cannes debut in a bespoke creation by Indian label Itrh. The actor chose a deep purple strapless gown that beautifully balanced contemporary construction with intricate craftsmanship. The fitted bodice, framed with shimmering black detailing, tapered elegantly through the silhouette before flowing into a floor-length finish. Thousands of hand-embellished beads scattered across the gown caught the Mediterranean sunlight, creating a refined sparkle without overpowering the overall look.

Keeping the styling elegant and rooted in Indian craftsmanship, Kalyani accessorised with diamond jewellery from Kalyan Jewellers, including a delicate choker and matching drop earrings. Soft pink-toned makeup and voluminous classic waves completed the ensemble, allowing the gown’s craftsmanship and rich colour palette to remain the focal point.

Rida Tharana made a memorable Cannes Film Festival debut in a custom couture creation titled "Ganga" by Indian designer Nikhil Gajare. More than just a red carpet gown, the look transformed storytelling and craftsmanship into wearable art. Inspired by the Gangotri glacier and the movement of the Ganges river, the ensemble merged avant-garde couture techniques with Indian references.

The structured strapless bodice featured curved panelling inspired by seashells and glacial formations, giving the silhouette a futuristic edge. Cascading chiffon drapes flowed organically from the sculpted bodice, mimicking the movement of water and creating fluidity with every step. Freshwater pearls delicately scattered across the fabric added a subtle shimmer reminiscent of glistening droplets, while a copper-toned pleated sash wrapped around the waist introduced contrast and depth. Rida completed the look with eco-conscious lab-grown diamond jewellery by Sennes from the House of Senco.

Mouni Roy delivered a well styled monochrome moment in a fitted black mini dress accented with a bold white halter neckline, bringing a vintage Riviera-inspired twist to a modern silhouette. Layered with a structured coat, sheer black stockings, and sleek black boots, the look balanced elegance with edge. A polished bun and minimal, glowing makeup allowed the outfit’s sculptural tailoring and contrast detailing to remain the focal point.

Punjabi actor Roopi Gill brought a powerful sense of cultural identity to the Cannes red carpet while promoting her upcoming film Chardikala. Representing Punjabi cinema on an international stage, Gill chose a traditional ivory Punjabi ensemble that celebrated heritage craftsmanship.

The look featured an off-white short kurta paired with voluminous sharara pants detailed with delicate gold block printing and embroidery. The highlight of the ensemble was a bordered phulkari-inspired ivory dupatta draped gracefully over her head in classic Punjabi fashion. She accessorised with traditional Polki and Kundan jewellery accented with emerald drops, including a statement necklace, matching earrings, and gold bangles.

Mrs Universe Sherry Singh added another milestone to her international journey as she walked the Cannes 2026 red carpet in a custom zari ensemble by Rimpal & Harpreet. The look celebrated centuries of Indian textile craftsmanship through intricate embroidery, traditional techniques, and rich detailing, bringing heritage fashion onto one of cinema’s most prestigious global platforms.

Celebrating the convergence of jewellery, fashion, and global culture, Vandana M. Jagwani attended the 79th Cannes Film Festival in association with BMW, representing a shared vision of innovation, craftsmanship, and progressive luxury on an international stage.

A creative entrepreneur shaping the evolving landscape of luxury jewellery and design-led ventures, Vandana is the Founder and Partner of Vandals, India’s first designer lab-grown diamond jewellery brand, as well as the Creative Director of Mahesh Notandass, a legacy jewellery house celebrated for fine craftsmanship and global presence. Her appearance at Cannes reflected a larger celebration of Indian jewellery design within one of the world’s most prestigious cultural platforms.

Styled by Shaleena Nathani, Vandana wore a holographic Ramikadi ensemble that merged futuristic glamour with contemporary Indian fashion. In a meaningful nod to conscious luxury and rewear culture, the outfit had originally been worn for her brother’s wedding before being reimagined for Cannes. The look was paired with a high jewellery necklace centred around a rare 28-carat heart-shaped diamond surrounded by vivid emeralds and layers of diamonds.

The Indian-origin, Dubai-based actress and global luxury content creator Farhana Bodi, best known for Dubai Bling, once again delivered a striking couture moment after her opening Cannes appearance quickly went viral.

Draped in a complete look by Nali Barzani, Farhana wore a powder pink gown that wrapped around the body with almost architectural precision before unfolding into sculptural drapes and a sweeping trail. A dramatic bow positioned at the hip anchored the silhouette. The neckline curved elegantly upward from the shoulder, adding delicacy to a look already rich in glamour.

Her beauty look, crafted by Amir Sdiri and Raad Elhassan, perfectly complemented the couture styling. Glowing skin, softly flushed cheeks, nude pink lips, smoked bronze eyeshadow, feathered lashes, and precise liner created a Riviera-ready finish. Hassanzadeh Jewellery added refined sparkle through delicate diamond pieces, while crystal heels by René Caovilla completed the ensemble.

Aditi Rao Hydari

Aditi Rao Hydari once again mastered effortless elegance at Cannes with a series of standout fashion moments rooted in grace and glamour. For one appearance, the actor wore a champagne-toned sheer saree by JADE by Monica and Karishma, delicately embellished with scattered sequins that shimmered under the French Riviera sunlight. The fluid drape and lightweight silhouette created a dreamy effect, while the sleeveless blouse and traditional emerald-and-gold choker added regal contrast to the understated sparkle. A sleek centre-parted braid, luminous skin, softly defined eyes, and a matte rose lip completed the ethereal aesthetic.

After captivating the Croisette in traditional draping, Aditi shifted into couture glamour for the screening of El Ser Querido in a Tony Ward Spring 2025 Couture gown. The one-shoulder green ensemble featured cosmic-inspired swirl detailing, soft draping, and a dramatic thigh-high slit. A gathered rose-like detail at the bust elevated the couture feel of the gown, while pleated draping across the torso sculpted the waist into a flattering hourglass silhouette.

A subtle side-waist cutout added a contemporary edge, while the flowing cape attached to the shoulder brought cinematic drama to the red-carpet moment. Soft waves and minimal accessories allowed the sculptural details and rich emerald tone of the gown to remain centre stage.

Huma Qureshi embraced Indian craftsmanship in a muted mauve Banarasi silk saree by Shanti Banaras. Featuring gold zari motifs woven along the borders. She paired the ensemble with a rich gold blouse that complemented the textile’s ornate detailing without competing with it.

Her jewellery choices further elevated the traditional aesthetic, including a statement gemstone necklace, matching earrings, and a bold ring. Dewy skin, softly kohl-lined eyes, and a natural pink lip kept the beauty look radiant and refined, while long side-swept waves added softness and romance to the overall styling.

Masoom Minawala continued her longstanding Cannes fashion streak by spotlighting emerging Indian talent on an international stage. For her seventh appearance on the Croisette, the entrepreneur and investor stepped away from established couture houses to champion younger designers and innovative craftsmanship.

At the premiere of sHEALed, Minawala wore a custom-crochet ensemble by an emerging knitwear designer, celebrating handcraft and textile artistry through a contemporary lens. The look was paired with a handcrafted crocheted feather boa and custom crocheted earrings by Vaishnavi Khadatare, a textile design graduate from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.

Diana Penty

Diana Penty delivered multiple standout fashion moments at Cannes, each exploring Indian craftsmanship through a modern lens. In one appearance, the actor wore a futuristic gold metallic saree by Manish Malhotra that fused traditional draping with sculptural couture elements. The structured blouse featured dramatic shoulders and a sharply cinched waist, creating an architectural silhouette that contrasted beautifully against the fluidity of the metallic pallu. Bronzed skin, softly smoky eyes, and a shoulder-length wavy bob completed the bold, fashion-forward aesthetic.

For another major red carpet appearance, Diana wore a custom couture creation by Amit Aggarwal that reimagined the essence of Ikat through engineered sculptural forms and futuristic construction. The ensemble explored the intersection of Indian textile heritage, technology, and identity through Aggarwal’s signature architectural design language. Intricately engineered 3D structures across the bodice created armour-like fluidity, while corded industrial techniques sculpted the body into rhythmic geometric formations inspired by traditional Ikat weaving patterns.

Textured pleating, sculptural details, and beaded fringe added movement and dimension to the garment, while the designer’s signature glitch embroidery introduced a layered exploration of distortion and evolving identity through glass bead detailing and surface interventions. The look transformed the visual rhythm of Ikat into something multidimensional and future-facing.

Priyanka Chigurupati, Executive Director of Granules India, made her debut at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, marking a notable moment for a new generation of Indian leaders shaping conversations across business, culture, and global influence. Beyond the corporate space, Priyanka is also recognised for her strong appreciation of fashion, design, and contemporary culture, representing a generation that moves seamlessly between leadership and global cultural platforms. Her presence at Cannes reflected how influence today increasingly extends beyond traditional industries into creativity, identity, and cultural dialogue.

For her red-carpet appearance, Priyanka wore a custom-sculpted brown saree by Ekaya Banaras, paired with bespoke jewellery by Kavya Potluri. Rooted in Indian craftsmanship yet interpreted through a distinctly contemporary lens, the ensemble presented a modern expression of Indian heritage on an international stage.

The look reimagined the traditional ghoongat — historically associated with concealment — by pushing the drape back to frame and celebrate the wearer instead, symbolising how modern Indian women continue to redefine tradition on their own terms. The jewellery echoed this philosophy through a contemporary interpretation of classic Indian gold, designed to feel equally effortless with denim or traditional attire.
