The younger designer launcher her eponymous label back in 2008. Having coming a long way, today Mehta finds herself as a part of the top designer in the country. After her bloom of colours stole our hearts on the runway, on the screens and on online platforms, she has launched her flagship store at Khan in Mumbai. Set in the middle of this hustling-bustling city, Arpita Mehta’s first flagship store exudes the calm of a cottage from a bygone era.
“I was looking for a space that felt special- something that had a charm about it, and this space is just that! With a massive facade and an entryway lined with trees, this is a slice of calm in the city I love. A stone’s throw from our workshop, the flagship store is a dream come true, and finally, a place to engage with our shoppers every day,” says Arpita.
Inspired by the comfort of the Mykonos's island the interiors of the store reflect a minimalistic style in a tone of dust pink with terrazzo tiled flooring, to keep attention on the garments. Custom made mid-century modern furniture including cane chairs, a plush velvet couch, and beautiful rugs could almost make you believe you’re in cozy nook of Arpita’s home discussing your wardrobe.
Opening doors to all the customers today onwards (i.e. November 5th 2020), the store will feature Arpita Mehta’s classic signature pieces including jacket dresses, ghararas, lehengas and a new collection called Meadaura.
