18 New Restaurants In India Worth The Hype (And The Reservation)
Tired of the endless “where should we eat” discussions? Luckily, this lineup of new restaurants is here to help make the choice a little easier. Think new menus, freshly shaken cocktails, and spaces designed to make you stay a little longer. Here are the latest addresses to add to your dining list.
The Dark Side | Greater Kailash II, Delhi

Delhi just got a new dining secret, and it’s hiding underground. Tucked below GK-2’s M Block Market, The Dark Side is Chef Aditya’s newest venture and the city’s first underground restaurant. Built around the Seven Deadly Sins, the space leans into a darker, slightly mischievous atmosphere where indulgence is very much part of the experience.
The menu draws from Chef Aditya’s memories of post-shift nights in London, bringing together the kind of comforting, craveable dishes chefs turn to after hours. Think Chef Adi’s Tiramisu, BBQ Chicken Wings, Mac n Cheese with Chorizo, the Anthony Bourdain Sandwich and a classic Grilled Cheese. The bar follows the same instinct, translating the Seven Deadly Sins into seven signature cocktails. Each takes a familiar flavour profile and gives it an unexpected turn. The Dark Side is made for a night that doesn’t take itself too seriously. So find the door, head downstairs, choose your sin and start ordering.

The outlet also has its own menu, featuring Florentine-style sandwiches and new additions like the Halloumi & Chilli Crisp Lola, Burrata & 'Nduja Viola, Luca and Caesar. Alongside the sandwiches is a beverage programme built around coffee and matcha. DUMBO's new outlet also has a new loyalty card programme, with one stamp for every visit and a complimentary drink after eight. It's another little reason to keep coming back.

Dodicci | The Ashok Hotel, Chanakyapuri, Delhi

There are restaurants built around a menu, and then there are restaurants built around a
mood. Dodicci, Delhi’s newest progressive Italian house, belongs to the latter. Imagined as a contemporary European home, it brings together food, wine, cocktails and hospitality in a setting designed to feel warm, relaxed and lived-in.
At the centre of Dodicci is its namesake—dodici, Italian for twelve. The house is imagined as being
inhabited by twelve residents, each with their own personality, taste and story, with the concept expressed through a collection of twelve signature cocktails. On the plate, Italian cuisine meets unexpected global influences, pairing hand-rolled pastas and pizzas with Poulet Rôti, Spanish croquettes, and Brazilian tapioca parmesan. With soft lighting, clean lines, and handwritten details, this Italian house turns the simple act of lingering into an art form.

The Back Room | Chandigarh

Every planned city has a back room, and this is Chandigarh’s. Saanya and Akshay Verma of VTC Group have opened The Back Room at The Toy Hotel in Sector 34A, bringing India’s first pour-only cocktail bar to the city. Behind the bar, there’s no shaking, no stirring and no theatre. In a dedicated bartenders’ workspace, recipes are developed, tested and measured in grams rather than millilitres. Each drink is built, batched, rested and sealed in a large-format bottle before service, then poured at the table, so that every pour delivers exactly the same drink, every single time.
The drinks even skip traditional names, using three-digit codes inspired by Chandigarh’s numbered sectors and structured grid. Each digit represents the drink’s base spirit, method and flavour profile, letting guests order by coordinate. Pair them with tapas and small plates from chefs Megha Kohli and Noah Barnes, and you have a space that feels designed for free-flowing conversations.
