Polo Resort Cherrapunji

📍 Cherrapunji, Meghalaya

Polo Resort Cherrapunji is located above the valleys of Sohra in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills, providing a luxury retreat surrounded by forests, waterfalls, living root bridges, and cliffs. The resort’s 58 rooms—including Dew Drop Cottages, Rain Forest Suites, Sky Pool Villas, and the Presidential Sky Pool Villa—offer views of the valley, forest, or private infinity pools. The architecture is designed to integrate with the landscape, featuring open layouts that connect indoor and outdoor spaces. Seventeen private pool accommodations are situated in an ecologically sensitive area. The cliffside infinity pool, overlooking a UNESCO-recognised waterfall, is a notable attraction. Guests can experience Northeast India through activities inspired by Khasi culture and local traditions. Signature experiences include the Waterfall Breakfast and the Khublei Thali storytelling dinner, which highlights the cuisine and heritage of the Khasi hills.

Adventurous guests can participate in Living Root Bridge excursions, rainforest foraging with local guides, treks through valleys and caves, waterfall picnics, and guided nature walks in the Khasi Hills. Evenings feature bonfire gatherings and folk music. For relaxation, guests may enjoy spa treatments, temperature-controlled pools, candlelight dinners, stargazing, and open-air cultural performances.

Sohra House, the main dining area, serves a range of cuisines with panoramic views. The Irish Pub offers a relaxed lounge atmosphere, and the seasonal Sky Grill allows for outdoor dining with views of the hills and monsoon skies.
