Abode Jaipur
📍 Jaipur, Rajasthan
Set within Jaipur’s Walled City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Abode Jaipur is a beautifully restored 300-year-old property that brings together heritage architecture, thoughtful design, and a strong sense of place. Located in the middle of Kishanpole Bazaar, the boutique stay blends quietly into Jaipur’s historic streetscape with its red, lime-washed façade, traditional arches, and old-world chajjas, offering guests a stay that feels deeply connected to the surrounding city.
Inside, the spaces feel calm, warm, and intentionally understated. The design focuses on reuse, authenticity, and local craftsmanship, with interiors shaped using reclaimed wood, local stone, handmade tiles, and traditional Arraish lime plaster applied by local artisans. Every detail feels tactile and rooted in Rajasthan’s craft traditions without feeling overly polished or staged.
The hotel features over 20 rooms across four categories — Suite, Superior Luxury, Luxury, and Simple — with no two rooms exactly alike due to the building’s original structure and contours. Rooms are minimal yet comforting, layered with soft, earthy tones, natural textures, locally sourced Khaadi bath amenities, and coffee from Subko Coffee Roasters. One of the standout spaces within the property is the striking parrot-green library, filled with antiques and books from Ashish Golcha’s family collection, designed as a quiet communal space for reading, conversation, and slowing down.
Abode Jaipur intentionally moves away from the traditional luxury hotel format. There’s no elaborate all-day dining menu or overly formal service structure. Instead, the experience encourages guests to step outside and engage with Jaipur itself. Mornings begin with a freshly prepared vegetarian breakfast, while the city’s cafés, bazaars, local eateries, and cultural landmarks remain just a short walk away.
The hotel also curates immersive local experiences, including heritage walks through the Walled City, craft explorations, food trails, and visits to local markets and artisan workshops, allowing guests to experience Jaipur beyond the usual tourist lens. Rooted in sustainability and community, Abode Jaipur follows a simple philosophy, “nothing new, everything local,” creating a stay that feels personal, thoughtful, and authentic.
